It is no surprise that when money is involved, the pure essence and beauty of something can quickly be erased. a lot of viewers experienced it when they tuned into the Aaliyah "biopic" that aired recently on Lifetime. A lot of backlash went into the production of the movie before, when posters and billboards were being made and no one received any approval from the family!
Disregarding the fact that the movie was a disaster, we all know this, the real question is when did it become OK to create a film that is showed all over the place without the approval of the family? And of course, because she executive produced the film when know who to point our fingers to (aka Wendy Williams) but technically it's the whole production team that needs to take the fall.
As soon as they casted characters that totally misrepresented actually people, they should have known they messed up! All in all this was an epic fail for Wendy, maybe she should just stick to her day job?
She had to comeback at the backlash though, view her tweet on the matter:
UPDATED 11:55 am — Wendy Williams confirms Aaliyah biopic was the #1 rated movie of all cable networks combined in 2014. She had this to say on her Hot Topics Monday –
