Brighten Skin Naturally
Summer's ending pretty quickly, and all the wonderful sun exposure from going to the beach, bike riding downtown, and going to carnivals has probably taken a toll on your skin. You can't see it (unless you have a sun damage detecting light) , but you can be your skins best friend by treating it to this Papaya and Oatmeal Body Scrub. The Papaya in the body scrub acts as a skin refresher and will make your skin glow. Papayas are rich in vitamins A, E, C (antioxidants) that are good for removing dark spots and promoting healthy skin. And the Oatmeal helps as a skin softener and soother. Enjoy this mini spa treatment!
What You Will Need :
- Bowl
- Spoon/Mixer
- Papaya (1/2)
- 1/4 cup Oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1/2 tablespoon of Olive Oil
- Blender
- Storing Container
1. Blend papaya until smooth, then mix in oatmeal (or blend for a smoother scrub, but not to much!)
2. Now mix in honey and olive oil, mix gently so not to make scrub too soft.
3. Now put in container to be used later.
Apply to moistened (with water) skin, however do this before washing body! Papaya will gently exfoliate the skin.
*This is a mild scrub that isn't abrasive, however the acid from the papaya can take a toll on your skin if skin is washed before using. Use with caution, especially if you have sensitive skin. Talk with your dermatologist to see if this would be perfect for you. If you start to break out or have any allergic reactions to any of the ingredients, discontinue using *

Foods That Stain Teeth
There's nothing like a beautiful, white smile. It's like a perfectly white, crisp blouse the flows in the wind while you dance in a meadow of sunflowers. Or is that just me? Anyway over time, the blouse can get dingy and more and more off-white, similar to teeth! That is, unless the blouse is taken care of, you know like bleaching, or prepping with stain removers before washing it. Similarly teeth need to be taken care of also. Of course the main rules to follow for a beautiful pair of pearly whites are to brush your teeth (at least twice a day) and floss right after. But all that hard work and continual habits of brushing can all go to waste with what you eat or drink! Crazy right? Here are a few things you need to minimize your intake of to keep those chompers white, bright, and shinin' in the light!!

1. Dark Drinks
Dark drinks like coffee, teas (green, black), and dark juices (pomegrante, cranberry, grape) are rich in deep colors that can sit on your teeth and stain them over time. If you must have your dark drinks at all times (I know there are coffee junkies reading this lol) have a glass of water afterwards and swish the water around in your mouth before you swallow to lift off some of those staining agents.
2. Scandolous Fruits
Dark Fruits like blueberries, dark grapes, pomeganates, cherries, and others that are rich in color can cause stains aswell. These fruits are amazing for you! (That is if your not allergic to them). So, don't completely omit them from your diet, instead use the water trick or eat a piece of cheese before to put a protective coating over your teeth.
3. Sweet Treats
Coloring agents and dyes are sometimes used in deliectable treats like popsicles, candy and bubble gum that can eventually cause staining. A rule of thumb, if the treat stained your tounge, it mostly will stain your teeth. Therefore brush your teeth and especially scrub that tounge!
